Bio:

Born in Canada, in 2345, the illegitimate son of a local politician and a minor actor, Tony went through elementary and high school oblivious to the issues surrounding his birth, although there was always the stickybeak kid who eavesdropped on his parents gossiping and spread rubbish about Ljaskic, though he never really listened much to it.

On his 16th birthday, his mother, the politician, sat him down and informed him that he was illegitimate. This bombshell cut deep into Ljaskic, but he responded with one of his own - "Mom, I'm joining Starfleet."

He signed up in 2362, aiming to become a commissioned Engineer. He cruised through the courses, obtaining a better-than-average mark, not the best in his class but just better than average.

Tony's first posting was to Starbase 103 as a Damage Control Specialist, fixing up the broken ships that came into port, whether private or Starfleet owned. However when he wasn't fixing ships up he found himself dealing with power transfer systems, and ended up changing jobs to a Power Systems Specialist as he had done more work on EPS conduits than damaged systems.

Two years later he was pushed up to Assistant Chief of Damage Control, and given a promotion to LT(JG). Ljaskic grew bored in this role however, and requested a transfer out to a vessel. This was granted, and he was transferred out to the USS Streak, an Excelsior class refit.

At first he was their Assistant Chief Engineer, but again, he got bored, and decided to try something completely different by stepping away from the Engineering department. He was retrained and transferred over to the Flight Control staff onboard the Streak.

In 2370 he was promoted from Flight Control Officer to Assistant Chief Flight Control officer, which is where he would spend the next five or six years of his life happily piloting the Excelsior around when he was on duty.

Time reached the Dominion War, and thankfully the Streak was spared being on the front lines however it also saw a few skirmishes, the result meaning that a console explosion killed the Chief Flight Control Officer of the USS Streak.

After the War, Ljaskic was pushed straight up to Executive Officer, along with the rank of full Lieutenant, as he previous XO left to take on her own command position. He received a promotion in 2377 to Lieutenant Commander.

In mid 2378, LT Ljaskic applied for a transfer to command his own vessel, and has only recently completed the command course. Tony is awaiting Starfleet's decision on which ship he will be commanding, though Ljaskic has requested command of a vessel with an already established crew.

Personality:

Tony Ljaskic is a very quiet, unassuming person. He does not run into a situation headfirst without thinking about other possible courses of action, and often refers to the Bridge Crew at the time to draw upon their expertise and specific skills.

He is generally a nice person to interact with but can get angry very quickly if he feels provoked by someone or something. Tony prefers people to be blunt but he also sometimes like to hear a more around-the-bush type of opinion, all depends on his mood.

Is reluctant to enter battle unless absolutely necessary, and is a defensive/diplomatic type of Captain (IE: Would rather put excess energy to shields in a battle situation instead of returning fire, whilst hailing attacker(s).)
